Projects
Recent work has included the following:
- Working on a wide range of Scottish Government consultation analysis projects (in collaboration with other researchers)
- Producing national summaries of annual reports produced by Chief Social Work Officers for the Scottish Government Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser
- Producing a summary report for a review of redress schemes for survivors of historic in care abuse around the world as part of a programme of work taken forward by the Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) InterAction Action Plan Review Group (IAPRG) and the Centre for Excellence in Looked After Children (CELCIS)(Strathclyde University)
- Working as part of a Jennifer Waterton Consultancy team on a Scottish Government project exploring the collection and use of equality data in the public sector in Scotland
- Providing research support to the Mental Welfare Commission on an analysis of Emergency Detention Certificates issued without Mental Health Officer consent
- Working as part of a Griesbach & Associates team on a Scottish Government project exploring young adults' attitudes towards and experiences of e-cigarettes
- Working as part of a ScotCen research team on an evaluation of the Community Reintegration Project for the Scottish Government
- Providing research and editorial support to ScotCen in relation to the Scottish Health Survey
- Contributing to Alcohol Focus Scotland's work on alcohol's harm to others
- Providing fieldwork support to Griesbach & Associates in relation to work for the Mental Welfare Commission on service users' rights
- Past contributor to the University of Edinburgh Academy for Government Masters in Public Policy course
- Proofreading / editing academic journal articles, books, research proposals and grant applications (including for non-native English speakers)
- Proofreading / editing dissertations and theses (including for non-native English speakers)
- Proofreading / editing a range of corporate and academic publications for clients including Glasgow Caledonian University, Scottish Carbon Capture and Storage and The Coaching Tree
